AARP WorkSearch Program for Adults Age 55 and over
If you are over the age of 55, looking to reenter the workforce, and fit the program requirements (55 and older, unemployed, Allegheny County Resident, lower Income) then the AARP WorkSearch Program might be a great opportunity for you. UPMC POWRR Program
The ENEC participates in the Partnership On Workforce Readiness and Retention (POWRR) program with UPMC hospitals. This opportunity is available to anyone interested in employment at UPMC. Enrollees participate in 3 workshops (once a week on Thursday at 10am) to learn about positions at UPMC and how they can effectively market themselves to the UPMC’s Human Resources staff. Once the workshop series is successfully completed, job seekers can apply for entry level positions at UPMC and gain a preferred hiring status. To register please click here.
PNC Bank Partnership Program
PNC bank also partners with the ENEC for a 2 series workshop program (once a week on Tuesday at 10am) where applicants learn how to market themselves for a career with the organization. Once the enrollees complete the workshop, they may apply to any job with the bank. Candidates that successfully complete the course and apply online gain preferred hiring status.
